At Teliyabagh, near the Cantonment station, Baati Chokha Restaurant serves the food of the Bhojpuri countryside: baked wheat baati with chokha, a smoky mash of roasted potato, aubergine and tomato, with plenty of ghee.

The baati chokha thali and the litti chokha are the dishes to order, and the kheer is well spoken of. It is a short drive from the ghats and works well on the way to or from the railway station.
